About Golden Seal?

Golden seal (Hydrastis canadensis), also known as goldenseal, is a perennial herb native to the eastern United States and southeastern Canada. It thrives in moist woodland areas and is characterized by its distinctive appearance. The plant features broad, hairy leaves and produces small, inconspicuous white flowers, which eventually give way to bright red berries. Golden seal has a long history of traditional use among Native American tribes, who valued its medicinal properties. Golden Seal liquid extract has a bitter taste, often described as intensely herbal and slightly astringent. Historically, Golden Seal is associated with good luck and protection, leading some to hang it near entrances for spiritual purposes.
